Several years ago, we’ve been amazed by the splendid and luxury decoration inside the airplane manufactured by French company Airbus.
But later on in the end of 2007, the company seemed to face some serious financial problem concerning the deposit down payment. Though they got lots of purchase for their product A380 from Singapore airline or Mainland China Airline, the amount of the deposit was agreed to be paid in US dollar not in Euro. So, here comes the problem, due to the rapid growing of the price of gas and the downfall of US dollar, their interest increased right away, furthermore, the materials which they assigned for A380 are all bought by Euro. As a result, there came a shortage or so called deficit in their so far income.
In order to solve this problem, Airbus arranged to move their base from Toulouse, France to Mainland China to reduce some certain cost and to save their money back. On the other hand, this may bring Chinese people many job opportunities such as mechanics or pilots…etc.
Lots of accidents or you may say surprises have launched our economic base, still there are people who could make a right prediction, for instance, the one from Jim Rogers.

Journal ING - Feel the heat ?
Everyone must feel the heat recently which means that summer times is coming. Unfortunately, I myself don’t appreciate that very much; in contrast, I prefer winter time. There are some certain things that would “gain” in summer time, I’m sure you know what they are – mosquitoes, temperature and the number that shows on the utilities bill.
Yeah! Pretty sad I know! But that’s true! Can you imagine that someone wait for the bus for more than 15 minutes under the sunshine? That would be horrible! Maybe next time, you can try once.
I still don’t get that why summer time is considered as the high season in traveling industry because it was so hot out there, how come anyone would love to enjoy the heat instead of sitting on their couch and enjoying the cold air sent by the air-con.
Just go get your UV stuffs and sun block lotion ready! Let's fight for this terrible heat!

Journal ING - "With great power, comes great responsibility"
“With great power, comes great responsibility” quoted by spiderman, now may be quoted by Ma Ying-jeou, newly elected Taiwanese 12th president.
On March 22th, there was a new born president for Taiwanese people. Winning Frank Shieh by more than 2 million votes, Ma has been modest as always. At that night, I was out wandering on streets in Taipei, I love that feeling – wandering while meditating and that was awesome, Trust Me! I saw fireworks all around celebrating the victory of KMT party; it was another milestone for KMT of course.
I’m not that much into politics, but as an adult who has the right to vote, somehow I feel it’s really important to make your right into action. This is the very first time I vote for one candidate and I must admit that it is not an easy task to choose one appropriate man to do the job.
Ma’s been widely debated on his originality of birth and is being doubted that whether he is able to make another uplift of Taiwanese economy. Still, what I’m trying to say is that “With great power, comes great responsibility”, it is absolutely the Herculean task.

Lecture's a Double-Faced
Lecture’s a Double-Faced
According to David Daniels, the American colleges and universities are under
strong attack from many sectors. The instructors, with the responsibility of nurturing
the next generation, are not doing well on their position and students are not doing his
efforts on their studies as well. This turned out to be a huge stepping stone for
American business field quoted by David for suffering from those unenterprising and
un prepared employees. Therefore, he straightly pointed out the problem the
American education has, the lecture system. In David Daniel’s opinion, it is less
effective in a lecture course than in a small discussion class. In fact, as a college
student, I felt in the same way and it truly influenced me a lot while learning. Below,
there are reasons why I think it’s better to take small discussion courses.
First of all, lecture courses are held in a technical way. The reason why students
feel so unintentional is that the bigger the class is the less intention the professor has
on his students. For example, I have taken the lecture course last semester with a
purpose of broadening our knowledgement in each field and there were more than
2000 students in the course. Taking the course in a hall, I found great distance with
the speech giver and hard to have eye-contacts. Therefore, it’s hard to swallow down
those small pieces of words on the screen unless we have discussion in class which is
impossible in lecture course.
Secondly, taking notes tend to be the ONLY job in lecture course. Students
swiftly note down the words they just heard like a machine in a lecture class. Finding
this stupid and meaningless, I myself don’t agree with this strategy in class. In fact, I
always learn by listening because I can’t conduct two things at the same time. It’s
important to digest those bubbling senses or knowledge in class not wait until you
check your notes after class. It’s hard for me to concentrate in class while taking notes
at the same time but taking a few keywords are important and acceptable.
At last, learning is always a mutual thing among no matter students or students
and professors. I strongly believe that by sending out a mission of discussion among
small groups may clash out great ideas. In a small-sized class, it’s more possible to
hold small discussion in class which is impossible for lecture courses. By discussion
in a small group though not many members, I can learn from everyone else within the
group conducted by an explicit talking and exchanging of ideas. Furthermore, it’s
more likely to have chances to raise up a question in a small class and even to discuss
with the professor.
To sum up, we are well-informed by the thesis of David Daniels that it’s less
effective in learning while holding a lecture course. I myself agree on that with
reasons above. The importance of learning in a mutual way not in a technical way
cannot be over-stated. Though it seems to be a routine work going day by day, it
somehow influences the students indirectly. We might discover those bad
consequences not until we get into the society which is away too late to do any
amendments.

Journal ING - Yahoo's next step ?
We all know that Yahoo is currently fending off a takeover attempt by Microsoft Corp. Though they couldn’t reach out the agreement on price, we see Yahoo’s changing its tempo and paces.
By closing its European base and moving to Switzerland, Yahoo has benefited from a special tax break offered by the Swiss authority. It’s a big move in European business market and influences other giants as well, such as Nissan and Google.
It is obvious that gathering the medium-sized groups or cooperation are the most in trend in this century. We see Samsung in Korea, Nokia in Finland, GE or Apple in the US and even HSBC, the biggest company in the world now doing their job of integration and merging. It is designated to hold on their domestic economy and to be competitive enough to fight against those uncontrollable changes and challenges among Asian and European or American markets.
Famous for its medium-sized coperations, Taiwan has fewer chances to live in the coming year. Only with large quantity can lower the price of per unit. But, we still got our advantages, reasons are as below – small ones are more flexible in time, shorten the procedure of making an order, less expense on human resources or commissions if it’s possible.
As a result, we can hold on still but not sure for how long. The most important thing is that there must be an outstanding leader or manager to conduct all these decisions and also make sure to float with the current lest we’d be striked off.

Journal ING - See any opportunities ?
According to MSNBC news, we Taiwanese might still have chances to fight for our own way in mainland China. Nike, the footwear giant, indicates that there are several obvious and also serious problems they encounter right now in China due to the poor and deplorable conditions the Chinese labor hold. Nike’s spokesman straightly points out the situation – inadequate management, excessive overtime and workers using false documents to get jobs, Well, then I must say I bet it’s not that worse here in Taiwan.
I think it is a common situation in those foreign companies who tend to seek lower labor cost in China. The rapid change in Chinese labor markets has brought out several shortcomings on labor rights. And that’s what foreign companies tried to demand from the Chinese authorities.
From this point, we can see that our Taiwanese labor structure is more integrated and has adequate legislation to cover up those hard workers. Though it seems to have many job opportunities there in mainland China, still the working condition should be the priority while considering to make a living there.
Also, we should be confident in ourselves because we are well-educated not just in our proficiency, but also the morality, ways to be a righteous man. The morality or the central value of a man cannot be seen until they were hired for several years. Take the previous financial scandal which was really immense in France, one employee of Société Générale, one of the biggest back in France, has been caught for illegal acts for over-loaning with a huge amount of money. And things that appeared to be unbelievable is that he has worked for SG for more 3 years and always with good-record.
Frankly, it has nothing to do with his proficiency but his morality. I think we Taiwanese are better in this way, perhaps it’s because we’re deeply-influenced by the Confucius values.
