Why Capital Punishment Still Exists
Capital punishment has been a cause for debate for many years, and people continue to disagree on the topic. Capital punishment may be a controversial subject, but it is one that must be addressed with today's violent society. The death penalty is believed to provide the necessary punishment and deterrent for criminals in many countries. The issue of capital punishment always comes with the problem of human rights which is a fundamental thing for a civilian. Can we really take away the criminal’s evil deed or crime by giving him another lethal blow? Below, the reasons why capital punishment should be abolished are as followed.
Firstly, from a religious point of view, capital punishment shall never be fair for a man. God says “Whosoever shed man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed.” This means one cannot take away other’s life. It is quoted right from the book of Genesis saying the creation of the world and assuming God is the master and creator of the world, thus everyone should obey and listen. According to this viewpoint, death penalty should never exist because it simply violates the principles from God.
Secondly, death penalty originally with the intention to decrease the crime rate and to threaten back the criminals shows no difference after all. It is widely believed that the existence of capital punishment shall deter the rate of crime, but later on, it is proven that the punishment didn’t make any difference on the rating. Instead, people are still unaware of the importance of life. Since the mission of reducing the crime rate could not be carried out, then why should death penalty exist? To replace the capital punishment, we should have some alternatives for it, for instance, life imprisonment.
Thirdly, the possibility of executing an innocent man could be one of the main ammunitions for anti-death penalty movements. Many may doubt that under the sound juridical system, there won’t be any mistake on judging whether or not one is convicted. But, in fact, there are many people who were now proved to be mistakenly sentenced to death sand being wronged for such a long time throughout the history. In order to prevent wronged people being sentenced to death from happening some said that it is necessary to abolish the punishment to save those wronged and innocent men.
Although lots of evidence or confrontations have been made, there’s still refutation going against with this. Several countries practice death penalty, including China, Iraq, Iran, U.S.A., and Saudi Arabia. In the United States, twelve of the states do now allow death sentence. The twelve states are Michigan, Wisconsin, Maine, Minnesota, North Dakota, Hawaii, Alaska, Iowa, West Virginia, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Vermont. One major way the death penalty helps is that it could console a family if someone is murdered and the convicted criminal is put to death. A perfect example was Timothy Mc Veigh when he was put to death in 2001, which was the first execution by the government since 1963 (CNN.Com). Therefore, the death penalty is good because the inmates, who deserve to be killed, should be killed.
In summary, we have seen three major reasons why capital punishment should be abolished from above though coming along with a refutation. Nevertheless, the issue of capital punishment has been hotly debated for a long time since 18th century, which I assumed that it would continue to be controversial in no matter what country or religion. But, there is one thing we can be sure of is that if the punishment went against the human right, it should be removed at once so as to protect the basic right of a man.

Journal ING - My Dream Car II
Now my heart is a little bit itchy for my dream car has been revolved and redesigned!!! With these incredible features such as key-free system, touring head light and so on....smooth rumble at full speed, that is just amazing! As far as I know, one of the professors in Chung Hsin has this car but the previous edition, and he often pulls his car on the green avenue next to the Language Center, therefore, I would have chance to take a closer look at this car, but maybe I'll look a bit creepy if I spook at the car.
As you see no matter from my dream car I the Porsche Cayenne, or this one, those are all SUV car, four by four, and that's what I want rather than a sedan.
Journal ING - Before and After?
well, I've been watching MODTV (model TV show) for couple of months on iTune, and there I found that the tactics the makeup stylist applied on are incredible. Just take a look at the image of before and after, sometimes we can barely recognize the person because it was way too different. Therefore, the saying of makeup could change someone is true, and to tell the truth, most of the celebrities form Hollywoods are wearing a well-done artificial masque, for their beauties are simply from those makeup skills and works. But, I didn't assert that without makeup was good, the fact is How to use this well and don't go to far is the point. Furthermore, we have to have the recognition that makeup could harm your original skin which means it can never last long on your face for more than a half day or you might regret with this act.

Journal ING - My Dream Car I
Have you had something that you can't resist on? Porsche Cayenne is REALLY something that has long been my dream. I sometimes dream of its rumble voice, so smooth and agreeable. In, the film, the car was in dark red, but I prefer one in PURE BLACK which can impress you right away with its galantry. I don't know whether I could be a tough driver, but I gotta say that til now, I didn't drive at all after the launch of my driving licence. By the way, who's going to lend his car to a ROOKIE? Will you? I really wanna take a ride in it!!! The boy describes it with the word phenomenal, well, I don't think it's enough, perhaps INCREDIBLE. And I should ssay that shift handling and power drifting.....ohhhh my...Guess I'm a wacko for Cayenne.
Journal ING - Food Price Level's Outrage?
The world bank tried to announce the upcoming disaster which would affect more than 85 percent of people all over the world by a high level of food price. Right after the gasoline's outrage, food price is now getting wild and uncontrollable. For the poor, they can barely purchase the gas, but still they have to eat in order to survive, thus if the food price level keeps mounting, probably they will not be able to EAT someday cause they don't even have enough money for veg or meat. And not to mention that if they could grow some plants or veg themselves cause who's going to pay for the fertilizer ?

Journal ING - Why Airbus would be the victim under the downturn of US dollars?
Several years ago, we’ve been amazed by the splendid and luxury decoration inside the airplane manufactured by French company Airbus.
But later on in the end of 2007, the company seemed to face some serious financial problem concerning the deposit down payment. Though they got lots of purchase for their product A380 from Singapore airline or Mainland China Airline, the amount of the deposit was agreed to be paid in US dollar not in Euro. So, here comes the problem, due to the rapid growing of the price of gas and the downfall of US dollar, their interest increased right away, furthermore, the materials which they assigned for A380 are all bought by Euro. As a result, there came a shortage or so called deficit in their so far income.
In order to solve this problem, Airbus arranged to move their base from Toulouse, France to Mainland China to reduce some certain cost and to save their money back. On the other hand, this may bring Chinese people many job opportunities such as mechanics or pilots…etc.
Lots of accidents or you may say surprises have launched our economic base, still there are people who could make a right prediction, for instance, the one from Jim Rogers.

Journal ING - Feel the heat ?
Everyone must feel the heat recently which means that summer times is coming. Unfortunately, I myself don’t appreciate that very much; in contrast, I prefer winter time. There are some certain things that would “gain” in summer time, I’m sure you know what they are – mosquitoes, temperature and the number that shows on the utilities bill.
Yeah! Pretty sad I know! But that’s true! Can you imagine that someone wait for the bus for more than 15 minutes under the sunshine? That would be horrible! Maybe next time, you can try once.
I still don’t get that why summer time is considered as the high season in traveling industry because it was so hot out there, how come anyone would love to enjoy the heat instead of sitting on their couch and enjoying the cold air sent by the air-con.
Just go get your UV stuffs and sun block lotion ready! Let's fight for this terrible heat!

Journal ING - "With great power, comes great responsibility"
“With great power, comes great responsibility” quoted by spiderman, now may be quoted by Ma Ying-jeou, newly elected Taiwanese 12th president.
On March 22th, there was a new born president for Taiwanese people. Winning Frank Shieh by more than 2 million votes, Ma has been modest as always. At that night, I was out wandering on streets in Taipei, I love that feeling – wandering while meditating and that was awesome, Trust Me! I saw fireworks all around celebrating the victory of KMT party; it was another milestone for KMT of course.
I’m not that much into politics, but as an adult who has the right to vote, somehow I feel it’s really important to make your right into action. This is the very first time I vote for one candidate and I must admit that it is not an easy task to choose one appropriate man to do the job.
Ma’s been widely debated on his originality of birth and is being doubted that whether he is able to make another uplift of Taiwanese economy. Still, what I’m trying to say is that “With great power, comes great responsibility”, it is absolutely the Herculean task.

Lecture's a Double-Faced
Lecture’s a Double-Faced
According to David Daniels, the American colleges and universities are under
strong attack from many sectors. The instructors, with the responsibility of nurturing
the next generation, are not doing well on their position and students are not doing his
efforts on their studies as well. This turned out to be a huge stepping stone for
American business field quoted by David for suffering from those unenterprising and
un prepared employees. Therefore, he straightly pointed out the problem the
American education has, the lecture system. In David Daniel’s opinion, it is less
effective in a lecture course than in a small discussion class. In fact, as a college
student, I felt in the same way and it truly influenced me a lot while learning. Below,
there are reasons why I think it’s better to take small discussion courses.
First of all, lecture courses are held in a technical way. The reason why students
feel so unintentional is that the bigger the class is the less intention the professor has
on his students. For example, I have taken the lecture course last semester with a
purpose of broadening our knowledgement in each field and there were more than
2000 students in the course. Taking the course in a hall, I found great distance with
the speech giver and hard to have eye-contacts. Therefore, it’s hard to swallow down
those small pieces of words on the screen unless we have discussion in class which is
impossible in lecture course.
Secondly, taking notes tend to be the ONLY job in lecture course. Students
swiftly note down the words they just heard like a machine in a lecture class. Finding
this stupid and meaningless, I myself don’t agree with this strategy in class. In fact, I
always learn by listening because I can’t conduct two things at the same time. It’s
important to digest those bubbling senses or knowledge in class not wait until you
check your notes after class. It’s hard for me to concentrate in class while taking notes
at the same time but taking a few keywords are important and acceptable.
At last, learning is always a mutual thing among no matter students or students
and professors. I strongly believe that by sending out a mission of discussion among
small groups may clash out great ideas. In a small-sized class, it’s more possible to
hold small discussion in class which is impossible for lecture courses. By discussion
in a small group though not many members, I can learn from everyone else within the
group conducted by an explicit talking and exchanging of ideas. Furthermore, it’s
more likely to have chances to raise up a question in a small class and even to discuss
with the professor.
To sum up, we are well-informed by the thesis of David Daniels that it’s less
effective in learning while holding a lecture course. I myself agree on that with
reasons above. The importance of learning in a mutual way not in a technical way
cannot be over-stated. Though it seems to be a routine work going day by day, it
somehow influences the students indirectly. We might discover those bad
consequences not until we get into the society which is away too late to do any
amendments.

Journal ING - Yahoo's next step ?
We all know that Yahoo is currently fending off a takeover attempt by Microsoft Corp. Though they couldn’t reach out the agreement on price, we see Yahoo’s changing its tempo and paces.
By closing its European base and moving to Switzerland, Yahoo has benefited from a special tax break offered by the Swiss authority. It’s a big move in European business market and influences other giants as well, such as Nissan and Google.
It is obvious that gathering the medium-sized groups or cooperation are the most in trend in this century. We see Samsung in Korea, Nokia in Finland, GE or Apple in the US and even HSBC, the biggest company in the world now doing their job of integration and merging. It is designated to hold on their domestic economy and to be competitive enough to fight against those uncontrollable changes and challenges among Asian and European or American markets.
Famous for its medium-sized coperations, Taiwan has fewer chances to live in the coming year. Only with large quantity can lower the price of per unit. But, we still got our advantages, reasons are as below – small ones are more flexible in time, shorten the procedure of making an order, less expense on human resources or commissions if it’s possible.
As a result, we can hold on still but not sure for how long. The most important thing is that there must be an outstanding leader or manager to conduct all these decisions and also make sure to float with the current lest we’d be striked off.

Journal ING - See any opportunities ?
According to MSNBC news, we Taiwanese might still have chances to fight for our own way in mainland China. Nike, the footwear giant, indicates that there are several obvious and also serious problems they encounter right now in China due to the poor and deplorable conditions the Chinese labor hold. Nike’s spokesman straightly points out the situation – inadequate management, excessive overtime and workers using false documents to get jobs, Well, then I must say I bet it’s not that worse here in Taiwan.
I think it is a common situation in those foreign companies who tend to seek lower labor cost in China. The rapid change in Chinese labor markets has brought out several shortcomings on labor rights. And that’s what foreign companies tried to demand from the Chinese authorities.
From this point, we can see that our Taiwanese labor structure is more integrated and has adequate legislation to cover up those hard workers. Though it seems to have many job opportunities there in mainland China, still the working condition should be the priority while considering to make a living there.
Also, we should be confident in ourselves because we are well-educated not just in our proficiency, but also the morality, ways to be a righteous man. The morality or the central value of a man cannot be seen until they were hired for several years. Take the previous financial scandal which was really immense in France, one employee of Société Générale, one of the biggest back in France, has been caught for illegal acts for over-loaning with a huge amount of money. And things that appeared to be unbelievable is that he has worked for SG for more 3 years and always with good-record.
Frankly, it has nothing to do with his proficiency but his morality. I think we Taiwanese are better in this way, perhaps it’s because we’re deeply-influenced by the Confucius values.

Journal ING - Sigh for the sign of the times : Gas hits record and what can we do to react?
“It’s really hard to make a living.” said one citizen in Los Angeles. I think it’s now an universal phenomena and has already influenced the fluctuation of all the performance in finance. According to the report, the average retail gasoline price has reached a new high and is expected to jump another 20 cents.
Similarly, in Taiwan, the consumers also strive to make the ends meet. Those daily supplies cost more than in the past. All goods relating to gasoline are now become the consumer’s nightmare. In consequence, consumers try to reduce the frequency of the use so that they will not need to buy them in big quantity.
In this downturn of economy, still, there are some shop owners or restaurants holders have their own ways to hold their customers tight. For instance, they provide them with more and more good quality goods with best prices in order to stimulate more purchases. This is really smart. On the other hand, lots of people surf the internet to find out those tips to reduce their huge expense on no matter dairies or luxury goods via BLOGS, the most popular creation throughout 21 century.
Take me as an example, blog is really something! I used to look up some information on the internet news, but now I don’t do that anymore. Now I surf those well-built blogs everyday to get those information I want. Although they are built and edited by website controllers only or the holder, they still make it look like a professional one. And that’s awesome because their works are even more exclusive and more explicit, that’s what I need

Journal ING - C'est la vie!
You might have seen or heard of this slogan before, "C'est la vie" means it's life. Yes, life has different meanings depending on how you lead your own one. We tend to search for the eternal meaning through this odyssey such as work, family, friends or even love.
So far, I feel like riding on a roller coaster because everything since 2008 is changing rapidly, no matter the future goal I used to have or the surroundings that circled me. But this is also why life is fruitful ! Always full of challenges and missions aiming different kinds of targets.
Accompanied by beautiful melody, I began to realize that music will be the only one who always shows fidelity to you throughout your journey searching the meaning of life. Though we cannot decide the outcome at the end of the road, but at least we can choose our favorite companies.
A couple of weeks ago, I’ve read a novel introducing the ten-top important things that we must do during our life. The ten-top are as below, find out the angel in your heart, pursue your own favorites, be confident, be well-prepared and do the plan in advance, start from RIGHT now and don’t wait, embrace every phases in your life, be satisfied and wait for good news, remember that success always comes after efforts.
Tips above frankly tell me that I’m the one who left at least 9 undone. I know it’s crazy but it’s true. And that’s why I need to meditate or reflex a bit on it. Maybe I can think in this way, at least I got one completed. Hehe…….
